The Last Seven Words of Fernando Pessoa, play at SFU Woodward’s, October 26-29 & Nov 1-5, $15

A bit more expensive than most, but unique and convenient, so I’m including it.

The Last Seven Words of Fernando Pessoa

Dates: October 26-29 & Nov 1-5
Time: 8 p.m.
Place: Fei & Milton Wong Experimental Theatre, Level B2, Goldcorp Centre for the Arts, 149 West Hastings
Cost: $10 students & seniors / $15 general admission, available online, or cash at the door

Presented by SFU’s School for the Contemporary Arts

The School for the Contemporary Arts presents THE LAST SEVEN WORDS OF FERNANDO PESSOA, a story that investigates one of Portugal’s greatest poets. After his death in 1935, it was discovered that he had left behind a trunk of over 25,000 documents of his own writings, mostly credited to imaginary individuals.
The play transports the audience into a realm where Passoa, his heteronyms (imaginary authors with fully realized personalities) and notions of multiplicity rework and transform the traditional rules of theatre.

Experience the world of Pessoa through a unique lens, performed by students in Contemporary Arts’ Theatre Program.

An MFA Project by Angela Ferreira presented in partial fulfillment of the requirements of the Degree of Master of Fine Arts at Simon Fraser University.
